A MAN has been charged with grievous bodily harm and throwing a corrosive substance over a person.

Last Wednesday (August 14), 23-year-old Jivan Dean was involved in an alleged incident in the Tipi Valley, Llandeilo.

He was arrested in the Llanelli area and will appear at Llanelli Magistrates Court tomorrow (August 19).

Heddlu Dyfed-Powys Police said: “There was an increased police presence in parts of Carmarthenshire as officers carried out enquiries to locate him. This included checks at pubs in Llanelli town on Thursday night.

“During the late afternoon on Friday 16, following several reports from the members of the public he was arrested in the Llanelli area.

“We would like to thank all those in our local communities who assisted officers and for their patience and understanding.”
