A PONTYBEREM man has denied strangling a woman and attacking her on multiple occasions.

Wayne Williams, 32, of Maes Y Deri, was charged with three offences of assault by beating and one of intentional strangulation.

It was alleged that Williams assaulted a woman on two occasions in January in Llanelli, and a third time on March 6.

He was also accused of strangling the same woman on an occasion in January.

Williams appeared at Swansea Crown Court, where he pleaded not guilty to all charges.

A trial date was set for December 12, and Williams was granted bail until that date.
