A MAN has appeared in court charged with throwing a corrosive substance at another person.
Jivan Dean, 23, of no fixed abode, appeared at Llanelli Magistrates’ Court on Monday, August 19 charged with two offences.
It was alleged that Dean threw Sodium Hydroxide at a man in Tipi Valley in Llandeilo on August 14 with the intent to burn or disfigure him or cause him grievous bodily harm.

Dean also faced a second charge of causing GBH with intent.
No pleas were entered, and the case was sent to Swansea Crown Court.
Dean was remanded in to custody, and will appear to enter his pleas on September 16.
