A Celtic theme and performing musicians will feature at the monthly Llandovery Farmers Market next Saturday (September 7).

From 10am to 2pm at Market Square Llandovery, attendees will be treated to Welsh and Irish music while shopping for locally produced goods.

This includes a new supplier at the market, selling a range of mushrooms.

Market manager Raoul Bhambral said: “I am delighted to welcome Coed Talylan to their first market. They farm a range of mushrooms grown in their beautiful woodlands near Bethlehem.”

Rhiannon O’Connor kicks off the market at 10am, performing a blend of traditional Welsh folk songs, inspired by folk legends of the area and her experiences of farming in rural Wales.

She is followed by Henry Marten’s Ghost at 12pm, an Irish music duo consisting of Gill O’Shea and Padraig Lalor who will sing traditional Irish songs and ballads.
