A CARMARTHENSHIRE man has admitted strangling a woman in Fishguard.
Louis Aris, 29, of Stepney Road in Garnant, appeared at Swansea Crown Court charged with two offences of intentional strangulation.
It was alleged that Aris strangled a woman twice on July 27 in Fishguard.
He pleaded guilty to one of the offences, and not guilty to the other.

The court heard that Aris had already pleaded guilty at Haverfordwest Magistrates’ Court to an offence of assault by beating relating to the same woman on that date and criminal damage after destroying the woman’s mirror.
Georgia Donohue, prosecuting, said that a trial would not be sought on the remaining strangulation charge.
Judge Huw Rees adjourned the case for a pre-sentence report to be prepared. Aris was remanded back in to custody and will return to court on September 27.
He warned Aris that all sentencing options remained open.
