A Carmarthenshire child has walked 100 miles to raise money for Wales Air Ambulance.
Seven-year-old Henry Russell completed this feat while raising £661, significantly higher than his initial fundraising target of £200.
As most others his age were enjoying their school summer holidays, Henry chose to put on his walking boots and take on the challenge.
Instead of staying home even on rainy days, the Russell family donned their waterproofs and embarked on exploring unfamiliar territories.
Henry enjoys exercise and exploring; his favourite walk was his last one, which friends join the family.
Speaking proudly of her son's achievement, Lotti Russell said: "It was wonderful.
"We have had the best summer doing these walks.
"It's really pushed us to get out and about.
"We've explored places that we've never been before and spent so much time together as a family.
"There were days that it was very challenging, but we all battled through and cheered each other up when we needed it."
The journey had a special endpoint where Henry was presented with a medal created by his cousin, marking the end of his achievement.
Ms Russell said: "We’re so proud of him and his determination.
"When he finished his 100 miles he even asked if we could do another walk the next day!"
The inspiration for the fundraiser came after Henry's dad, Matt Russell, needed Wales Air Ambulance services in 2011.
The charity, run through a partnership between the third sector and public sector, supplies highly skilled NHS consultants and critical care practitioners onboard their vehicles.
The service provides hospital-standard treatments directly to patients, often significantly reducing transfer times and improving survival and recovery prospects.
Henry, along with his family including baby sister Emily, completed the miles across diverse terrains.
From the hilly Pembrokeshire coastal path to gentle woodland strolls and park runs, they explored and enjoyed the essence of nature, completing the last mile with a route around Manorbier.
Henry said: "I’m pleased to have completed the 100 miles.
"I feel very proud to have finished.
"My favourite walk was the last one because my friends came with us, and we saw seals."
Wales Air Ambulance needs to raise £11.2 million every year to ensure its helicopters stay in the air and rapid response vehicles remain on the road.
The funds raised by Henry have been deeply appreciated.
Hannah Bartlett, supporter engagement manager for Wales Air Ambulance, said: "A huge congratulations to Henry, what a fantastic challenge to have completed at such a young age.
"Henry gave up his six weeks’ holidays to raise much-needed funds for the Wales Air Ambulance, which is incredible.
"Henry should be immensely proud of how much he has raised for the Wales Air Ambulance.
"Donations, like Henry’s, will ensure that the people of Wales have the best care when they need it most, whether via air or road.
"Henry’s a little lifesaver."
