Five people were taken to hospital after a serious crash on a Carmarthenshire road yesterday (Tuesday, September 3).
The ambulance was called at 1:45pm to an incident on the A48 in Pensarn, Carmarthen.
Five ambulances arrived and two paramedic teams attended the scene.
A spokesperson for Welsh Ambulance Service said: "We were called yesterday, September 3, at 1:45pm to reports of a road traffic collision in Pensarn, Carmarthen.
“We sent five emergency ambulances, two duty operations managers, and two Cymru High Acuity Response Unit paramedics to the scene. Five patients were conveyed to hospital for further treatment."
The police have revealed the road was closed for over an hour while vehicles were recovered.
A spokesperson for Heddlu Dyfed-Powys Police added: "Dyfed-Powys police received a report of a two-vehicle road traffic collision on the A48, Pensarn Roundabout, on Tuesday August 3 at approx. 1:50pm.
"Four people were taken to hospital with injuries not believed to be life threatening.
"The road was closed whilst the vehicles were recovered and opened at approx. 3.05pm.”
