A number of public notices have been recently issued in relation to probates, premises licences and much more.

Here we take a look at those licences issued in the Ammanford, Gwaun Cae Gurwen, Llandeilo and Pontardawe areas.

A483 trunk road

Traffic will be stopped from going along the A483 trunk road known as Heol Cennen in Ffairfach from 11.30pm on September 19 until 5am on September 20. This is to allow for works to take place. 

During this period, all traffic will be stopped from using the stretch of road, with exceptions made for emergency services and works traffic.

Alternate routes will be provided.

Any changes to times and dates will be displayed before any rescheduled work begins.

William Leslie Marcus Adams - probate

A probate has been issued for William Leslie Marcus Adams, who lived at 27 Woodfield Road, Llandybie, Ammanford. He died on November 5, 2023.

Individuals having a claim against or an interest in the estate of Mr Adams are required to send written particulars thereof to Kenneth Nigel Adams, 5 Church Street, Llandybie, Ammanford SA18 3HZ on or before October 22, 2024.

Marine licence

A marine licence application has been made for North Gwendraeth Fawr - Rail Bridge Abutments Maintenance.

Dyer and Butler Ltd has applied to Natural Resources Wales for this license.

Objections and representations should be made in writing to the Natural Resources Wales offices. The full application can be found on the Natural Resources Wales website.

Gwen Young - probate

A probate has been issued for Gwen Young (maiden name: Woodrow), who lived at Cartref Ael Y Bryn, Penybanc Road, Ammanford, and 155 Spearing Road, High Wycombe, who died on July 25, 2024. 

Anyone who has a claim against or an interest in the estate of Mrs Young must send written particulars to Kidd Rapinet LLP, The Old Registry, 20 Amersham Hill, High Wycombe, Buckinghamshire, HP13 6NZ, on or before October 24, 2024.

Alison Jane Jones - probate

A probate has been issued for Alison Jane Jones (maiden name: Stone), who lived at Flat 15 Llys John Davies, Swansea. She previously lived at 120 Heol y Gors, Cwmgors, and died on January 18, 2024.

Anyone with a claim against or interest in the estate must send written particulars to Sharon Jones, The London Gazette (43513), PO Box 3584, Norwich NR7 7WD.

Tairgwaith Community Club

A premises licence application has been made by the Tairgwaith Community Club for regulated entertainment and sale of alcohol at the community club, Lauderdale Road, Tairgwaith.

The application can be inspected at Neath Port Talbot County Borough Council offices.

Any person wishing to make a representation should do so in writing by September 19, 2024.

Goods Vehicle Operators Licence

Gwrhyd Services Ltd of 34 Gelliderw, Pontardawe, is applying to change an existing licence to keep an extra four goods vehicles at the operating centre at Gwrhyd Stables, Pontardawe.

Owners or occupiers of land who believe their use or enjoyment would be affected, should make written representations to the Traffic Commissioner at Hillcrest House, 386 Harehills Lane, Leeds, LS9 6NF and the applicant within 21 days of this notice.
