There will be some wellness events taking place across Carmarthenshire in the next few months.

The Carmarthenshire Living Well Event is set to bring together a variety of health sector services, local authorities, and third-sector organisations.

The initiative aims to provide valuable information, advice, and activities to help people of all ages live fulfilling lives.

The events will encourage engagement with services that promote preventative lifestyle activities, well-being, and understanding of available support for self-care and home wellness.

The next Living Well in Carmarthenshire events are scheduled to take place at Tumble Hall on September 18 from 10am, to 2pm, Whitland Memorial Hall on October 23, from 10am to 2pm, and at the Princess Gwenllian Centre in Kidwelly on November 29, from 10am to 2pm.

Attendees will have the opportunity to participate in various activities and taster sessions promoting community prevention and well-being.

There will be more than 30 stalls from different organisations and teams, play activities from the family information service, a Lindy Hop taster session, relaxation and Move Easy sessions by the expert patient programme, and a dementia friends training session. The dementia friends training sessions places must be booked by contacting SusanSmith@carmarthenshire.gov.uk.

Carmarthenshire County Council’s cabinet member for health and social services, Cllr Jane Tremlett, said: "The Living Well Event in Tumble is an excellent opportunity for people of all ages to socialise, have fun, and also learn about what is available in the local area to support them to live well.

"Enabling our residents to live and age well is a well-being objective for the county council and an ambition that requires us to work across many fields with various partners to achieve."

The Living Well in Carmarthenshire events are part of the Living Well in Carmarthenshire Strategy consultation, allowing the public to share their views on what living well means to them.

For those unable to attend, the consultation questions are accessible on the Carmarthenshire County Council website.
