The Ammanford Community Extravaganza featured a range of fun activities and numerous locals last Saturday (September 21).

At Quay Street there was face painting, a balloon artist, jugglers and street magicians, community information activities, along with arts a crafts courtesy of Menter Dinefwr.

While at the town's park there was a variety of different stalls, several inflatables and a petting farm.

Live performances were also at the event from acts such as:

  • Local comedian Gareth P Morris
  • Tumble's Lindy Hop Jive community dance group
  • Folk dancing from youth group Aelwyd Penrhyd
  • Children's entertainer Crazy Clayton
  • Music from Laurence Lance Lewis, Ollie and Charlotte,
  • Rock band Ghost Train
  • Renowned local Welsh folk group Jac y Do

The event was organised by Ammanford Town Council and the day had a rainy start before the sun made a welcomed appearance in the afternoon.
