A Llandeilo residential home has celebrated its 50th anniversary.
Residents, staff, and friends of Awel Tywi residential home marked the occasion with afternoon tea and entertainment.
Entertainment included singing songs, performances by singer Alan Thomas, and Ffairfach Primary School pupils, who also presented the residents with a handmade card.
The League of Friends Awel Tywi, a group of Llandeilo residents connected to the home, gifted a hand-painted plate by artist Kate Glanville, to be displayed in the home.
A cake was made by a member of staff and enjoyed by all. Resident Mary Keir had the honour of cutting the cake.
Councillor Jane Tremlett, Carmarthenshire County Council's cabinet member for health and social services, said: "I was delighted to attend the celebration of Awel Tywi’s 50th anniversary.
"Thank you to members of staff at the home for ensuring that the event was so special and to everyone who took part."
The home opened in 1974 on the site of a former workhouse. It contains 38 beds and residents are looked after by 56 members of staff.
