A man has appeared in crown court to deny strangulation, multiple counts of assaulting a woman and damaging council property.
Sean Williams, 29, of Ger Ty Mawr in Carway, denied a total of seven charges when he appeared at Swansea Crown Court today, Monday September 30.
He was accused intentionally strangling a woman on March 12 this year. On the same date it is alleged that he assaulted the woman by beating her and intentionally damaged £120 hair straighteners belonging to her.
Williams also denied assault by battery against the same victim on April 1 and August 25 this year.
He also entered not guilty pleas to two additional offences of criminal damage, allegedly damaging a door handle on June 29 and a door frame on August 6 – both of which were the property of Carmarthenshire County Council.
His Honour Judge Hobson KC set a trial date for February next year. He released Williams on bail until this time.
