The club was established by local ex-military personnel to provide support and camaraderie to former members of the army, navy, and air force.

Regular activities arranged by the club include a weekly breakfast gathering, a get-together at Has Beanz coffee bar in Ammanford, indoor bowls, and indoor sport shooting.

The breakfast event, which took place on October 21, featured a special performance from the pupils' choir at Ysgol y Bedol in Garnant.
