Cantorion Llandeilo Singers will perform a celebrated piece by Robat Arwyn.

Atgof o’r Sêr (The Memory of Stars) will be presented in St Teilo’s Church, Llandeilo, on Saturday, November 23.

The last full performance of this work by the Singers was in December 2015.

Two young Welsh singers, Llinos Haf Jones and Owain Rowlands, will be the soloists in Atgof o’r Sêr.

Both hail from Carmarthenshire and have made their mark on the international professional circuit.

Llinos is pursuing her master’s degree at the Royal Academy of Music, while Owain studies at the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama.

In the first half of the concert, they will perform a duet by Robat Arwyn, Benedictus, and solos by Gilmor Griffiths, Johann Strauss II, Richard Vaughan, and Donizetti.

The renowned Singh family from Llandybie will also join in.

Violinist Davinder Singh is set to perform pieces by Vittorio Monti, Ernest Bloch, and Edward Elgar, with Dorothy Singh as the piano accompanist.

The choir will also sing John Rutter’s A Clare Benediction, Handel’s Chandos Anthem O Praise the Lord with one Consent, and Notre Père by Maurice Duruflé.

The concert, conducted by Richard Whitehead, starts at 7pm, with tickets priced at £15.

A portion of the ticket sales will be donated to the Welsh cancer charity TENOVUS.
