A MAN has admitted assault and using a pool cue as a weapon at a pub.
Robert James, 34, of Pontyates, appeared at Llanelli Magistrates’ Court charged with three offences.
James was accused of possessing an offensive weapon in a public place – relating to a pool cue – and damaging a pool cue at Tafarn-Y-Phoenix in Gorslas on December 12 last year.
He was also charged with assault occasioning actual bodily harm against another man on that same date.

James pleaded guilty to all three charges on October 31.
The case was adjourned for a pre-sentence report to be prepared. James was granted bail, as part of which he was banned from entering Tafarn-Y-Phoenix.
He will next appear in court for sentence on November 21.
