A SOMERSET woman has been found not guilty of strangling her daughter whilst on holiday in Carmarthenshire.
Sharon Hornett, 55, of Byron Road in Weston-Super-Mare, had been charged with two offences of strangulation at Swansea Crown Court.
It was alleged that Hornett strangled her daughter on two occasions on October 8 at an Airbnb in Llanddeusant.

At a previous hearing, she denied both offences.
Prosecutor Caitlin Brazel told the court that the defendant’s daughter had provided a withdrawal statement as she was no longer supportive of the prosecution.
Ms Brazel said the complainant had raised concerns about how a trial would affect her mental health, and the Crown Prosecution Service conducted a review as to whether the case should proceed further.
The prosecution offered no evidence on either charge, and Judge Geraint Walters entered formal not guilty verdicts.
