A LOCAL man will face a trial after he denied assaulting and strangling a woman.
Joshua McNamara, 30, of Blaenau Road in Llandybie, appeared at Swansea Crown Court charged with two offences.
McNamara was accused of assault by beating and intentional strangulation relating to an alleged incident involving a woman in Carmarthenshire on October 17.

He pleaded not guilty to both offences, and a trial date was set for May 7 next year.
