The collapse came as Storm Bert battered regions in and around Ammanford, with multiple areas flooded, rivers rising to abnormal levels, and roads closed.

A yellow weather warning was issued by Met Office for wind and rain before the storm commenced on Saturday (November 23) and continued throughout Sunday (November 24).

The severe downpour resulted in cars driving through deep pools of water as they attempted to navigate through Ammanford.

National Resources Wales also issued 60 flood alerts and 50 flood warnings across the whole of Wales.

However, Met Office have forecasted fewer extreme conditions today with sunshine and the odd shower.

Despite the risk of hail and thunder still existing, temperatures are set to return to the seasonal average, with a maximum temperature of 10 degrees.

Showers are predicted to continue this evening and overnight with clear spells in between.

This will be accompanied by colder temperatures, resulting in a minimum of 2 degrees.

Meanwhile, the forecast for tomorrow (Tuesday, November 26), suggests showers will fade and plenty of sunshine appears.

This is before conditions are predicted to turn hazy in the afternoon while remaining dry, alongside lighter winds and a maximum temperature of 10 degrees.

As for Wednesday, rain and stronger winds will return before brighter conditions present on Thursday.

On Friday, Met Office forecasts overnight frost and an increased likelihood of fog patches, while temperatures stay average.
