A jury has been sworn in this morning in the case of a 22-year-old woman accused of killing her mother's boyfriend in Ammanford on January 22.
Maxine Violet Williams is accused of stabbing to death Bernard Jason Evans at a house in Pantyffynnon.
After the jury was sworn in at Swansea crown court the case was adjourned until tomorrow to allow the judge, Mr Justice Nigel Davies, to hear legal arguments from the barristers leading the prosecution and defence, Elwen Evans QC and Paul Thomas QC.
Miss Evans will open the case tomorrow morning.
Williams, now of Gwscwm Road in Pembrey, has pleaded not guilty.
Mr Evans, aged 41, died after an incident at his home in Pantyffynon Road. At the time he was the partner of Williams' mother.
