A TUMBLE man has been prosecuted for dropping litter from his car in Cross Hands.
Christian Lee Lewis was convicted in his absence at Ammanford magistrates of an offence of depositing litter.
Tessa Pilarz, prosecuting on behalf of Carmarthenshire County Council, told the court that environmental enforcement officers saw 19-year-old Lewis drop a serviette from his car parked in the Leekes car park at Cross Hands.
Lewis had recently been issued with a fixed penalty notice for a separate offence of littering so the decision was taken to prosecute him instead of issuing a notice for the new offence, she said.
Lewis, of Tir Becca, Tumble, was fined £150 and ordered to pay full prosecution costs of £285.15 and a £15 Victim Surcharge.
