TRIBUTES have been paid to Ammanford biker Kevin Adrian Evans who was killed in a collision with a police car last week.
Mr Evans, known to friends as Angus, died after the crash on Betws Road, Betws, at 11.35pm on Wednesday (October 29).
The sound of the accident prompted many residents — some in their nightclothes — to come running out of their homes.
The 39-year-old, described by friends as a “young-at-heart and caring man” was pronounced dead at the scene and an investigation has been launched by Dyfed Powys Police supervised by the Independent Police Complaints Commission.
Friends were quick to pay tribute to Mr Evans, who lived in Dyffryn Road, Saron, but is believed to have spent most of his time looking after his grandmother, who lived in Rhodfa Frank.
Bala Pulendrathasan said Mr Evans would be missed by people throughout the Amman Valley.
He said: “He was a very happy person.
“He was 39 years old in body but a lot younger in mind. He was young-at-heart.
“He loved motorbikes and was a keen biker. He carried out a lot of work on my house so every where I turn there are memories of him. I feel I have lost my right hand.
“I know he was very close to his grandmother and he used to spend a lot of time with her,” he added.
The funeral of Mr Evans, who leaves two brothers and two sisters, will be held at Llanelli Crematorium at 10.30am on Friday.
