A LLANDEILO woman who was seen "jumping around" in an Ammanford store, was found guilty of both shop-lifting and possession of drugs.
Hayley Jayne Thomas of Iron Gate Lodge, Talley, was spotted acting suspicious in New Look, Quay Street on January 20, where she attempted to steal a jacket, hooded top and handbag.
Police searched the 25-year-old's property later that day and found a clear package containing traces of white powder.
Prosecutor Gerald Neave said: "She told the police that she had taken off her hooded top and replaced it on the hanger before putting on the hooded top and jacket over it. She then took a handbag and left the store without payment."
Thomas also admitted to police that the package containing traces of amphetamine belonged to her and was for her own personal use.
Ammanford magistrates made a destruction order for the drugs and have ordered a full pre-sentence report.
She will be sentenced at Llanelli magistrates on February 16.
