An Ammanford woman has told magistrates that she wished to remain behind bars until she stands trial for harassment.
Julie Marie Edwards, of 57 Pantyfynnon Road, appeared before Llanelli magistrates on Friday via a video link from Eastwood Park Prison, Gloucestershire, having been remanded in custody at an earlier hearing.
Edwards, aged 43, is the mother of Pantyfynnon murderer Maxine Williams.
Williams, then aged just 19, fatally stabbed Edwards’ then partner Bernard Evans in the kitchen of the Pantyfynnon Road property in January, 2008.
Since then, Edwards has repeatedly stated that she is terrified of being in the house alone and has appeared before magistrates a number of times for public order offences.
During many of those appearances she has repeatedly urged her solicitor not to request bail and ensure she is remanded in custody.
When magistrates raised the question of bail last week, Edwards interrupted proceedings saying: "No, I do not want to apply for bail. I want to stay here until I go to trial."
Magistrates committed Edwards to stand trial before Swansea Crown Court.
She was remanded her custody until she appears before a judge for a plea and case management hearing on October 25.
