The Recreation Ground in Ammanford was bathed in sunshine for this Bank Holiday Monday fixture, with the home side taking on Abergavenny Town in the JD Cymru South league.
The first half saw the visitors restrict Ammanford's attacking play with some resolute defensive play from back to front.
Ammanford couldn't find a way through to test the visitor's goalkeeper Connor Christie as he was well protected by his defence especially by Efu Kazadi who was certainly a contender for man of the match for Abergavenny.
The visitors looked lively and moved the ball around well and Ammanford had to also stand firm in their midfield and defensive play. Ammanford's pacy Callum Thomas was trying hard to make things happen for his team but just couldn't find a way through.
A stalemate of a first half with both teams looking to raise the intensity of the game in the second half.

The second half came to life after 58 minutes when Abergavenny got out of the blocks the quicker and broke away down Ammanford's left, a crossed ball from Joseph Ogugua close to the byline was only partially cleared and the ball broke into the path of Abergavenny striker Daniel Macdonald who slotted the ball in the Ammanford net. 0-1

The goal seemed to spur Ammanford on and it only took two minutes for Ammanford's Brett Enoch to play the ball into the advancing Jordan Langley to score. 1-1
Abergavenny tried to respond to regain the lead but Ammanford's midfielder Ben Soal was showing the grit and determination to win the ball back for his team along with the rest of his defence.
Teammate Brett Enoch was beginning to get the best of the Abergavenny defence out wide with nine minutes plus stoppage time to play it was indeed Ammanford's Brett Enoch who supplied a cross into the Abergavenny penalty area which wasn't dealt with by the visitors and it was Jordan Langley who seized the opportunity to score his second goal of the game. 2-1.
Ammanford had to reorganise their defence due to injuries but battled through to the end to seal the win against a good Abergavenny outfit.
