Ammanford's cricketers bowed meekly out of the Welsh Cup quarter final having been firmly shown the exit by long distance visitors Brymbo.
In a curtailed match of 35 overs apiece, the north Wales side exploited the uncertain weather and put Ammanford in to bat.
An opening stand of 67 between opener Kurtis Marsh (40) and skipper Alun Evans (17) provided a promising start, but one that flattered to deceive as the remainder of the Ammanford batters failed to capitalise on it.
Wickets fell with monotonous regularity as Ammanford finished their 35 overs on a modest 135 for 8.
Mohamed Nilam Jayman was Brymbo's most destructive bowler with 4 for 18.
Brymbo began their reply confidently with an opening stand of 82 between James Claybrook and Christopher Taylor.
When Claybrook was out for 25, man of the match Jayman (21) joined Taylor to take the score within easy reach of victory.
Taylor carried his bat for an unbeaten 57 as Brymbo strolled to victory with 8 wickets and 5 overs to spare.
Ammanford now concentrate their efforts on remaining in the South Wales Premier One with a visit to Newbridge Fields where they take on Bridgend on Saturday.
