Several planning applications for in and around the Ammanford and Llandeilo areas have been submitted to Carmarthenshire County Council this month (July 2024).

Here we take a look at some of the applications that are currently under consultation.

Fairground, Station Road, Upper Brynamman, Ammanford, SA18 1SH (reference PL/07722. Registered on July 4)

There are plans to use the fairground site for residential dwellings and storage and charity fundraising activities.

The plans were submitted by Hugh Towns and the site has its own main drainage system, water supply and electrical installation.

Nantricket, Grenig Road, Glanaman, Ammanford, SA18 1DS (reference PL/07954. Registered on July 4)

Plans have been submitted by Andrew Francis for the erection of an agricultural building.

The building would provide covered storage for manure and conform to Control of Agricultural Pollution in Wales regulations 2021.

The plan submitted by Paul Roberts includes the Discharge of Conditions 3, 4, 5, 6 and 7 on a separate planning development – PL/05353.

This submission focuses on the Discharge of Condition 4 on PL/03908.

Bryncastell, Llangadog, SA19 9BS (reference PL/07819. Registered on July 5)

Helen Rice wants to change the use of her holiday letting unit to residential dwellings.

Units 5 And 6, Cross Hands Square Shopping Centre, Pontardulais Road, Cross Hands, Llanelli, SA14 6NT (reference PL/07924. Registered on July 7)

Paul Roberts is applying to change the use of a shop to a dental practice.

Kara Willis requires householder planning permission for single storey extensions and refurbishment of an existing dwelling house.

Jade House, Manordeilo, Llandeilo, SA19 7BR (reference PL/07976. Registered on July 3)

Kara also needs permission for a ground floor extension to an existing dwelling.

Adam Davies has submitted a planning application for the creation of a home-based gym facility among other extensions.
