Crymych retaliated with two well-worked tries from fly-half Ifan Phillips and scrum-half Rhys Davies, with the latter converted for a half-time lead.
After the break, Ammanford retaliated with quick tries by dynamic fly-half Potter and winger Smith.
Despite the defensive heroics of the Ammanford squad, Crymych managed to crash through their defence for a try.
However Ammanford responded with fury, as captain Phillips got the ball down with the help of his fellow forwards.
The game concluded on a high for Ammanford as fly-half Potter scored his second try of the match, boosting his score tally to 18 points for the day as the hosts secured the victory.
Ammanford is now gearing up to face Maesteg Harlequins away from home in their next league fixture on Saturday, October 12 at 3pm.
