FOLLY FARM TRIP - Youngsters from Ysgol y Bedol Nursery throroughly enjoyed their trip to Folly Farm near Tenby recently.
CRAFTWORK - Nursery pupils at Ysgol y Bedol had fun creating duck-magnets,making them by cooking in the microwave. Unfortunately though, Mrs Morgan’s magnet caused an unexpected fire drill.
FANTASTIC - Ysgol y Bedol’s kitchen has been awarded a fantastic level 5 in Food-Hygiene; a big well-done to Karen and all her staff.

REMEMBERING THE PALAIS - The local authority is working on text and images for the interpretation panels for the newly-developed Palais site in Garnant.
They are interested in the following information however: a)When did the British Legion stop meeting at “Haig Hall”?
b) When the Palais stop being used for social events, it being a popular social club in the 1950s/60s.
They are also looking for photos relating to the Palais when it was in use in its heyday,though they do have one from the opening ceremony in 1934. They are also looking for adverts or posters from events held there, that could be included on the Panel to make it even more interesting. CHARITY POOL EVENT - It’s back-The Best Pool player in the Valley tournament will be held at the Half Moon Inn, Garnant on Saturday, August 24 from 7pm, with prizes etc. Also, a live band, a running buffet, all welcomed. All proceeds towards MacMillan Cancer Care.
