GUIDE CAMP - Cwmaman guides had a wonderful time when they joined other guides from the county at a camp in Pontargothi. They had activities such as archery, it's a knock out, cooking on fire, and campfire songs.
They will start back the Autumn term on September 9th at 6p.m.
ADVICE SURGERY - After the summer break, County Cllr Kevin Madge will be beginning his Autumn Advice Surgeries, starting on September 13 at Garnant Club(7pm).
P.A.C.T. MEETING - The next Cwmaman Police and Community Together meeting will be on Wednesday, September 4 at 7pm at Ysgol y Bedol.
STEPPING STONES - Garnant Family Centre will be running Stepping Stones- an 8-week course on parenting, in taking steps towards managing childrens’ behaviour, on Monday mornings, starting from next Monday, September 9 (9.45am to 12 noon). WEDDING ANNIVERSARY - Congratulations to a well-known local couple, Graham and Enfys Hobbs of Cowell Road, Garnant, who celebrate their 69th wedding anniversary on September 9 (Monday).

DARTS TOURNAMENT - The Cwmaman Open Darts tournament takes place at Clwb Godre’r Mynydd Du, Glanaman on Saturday, September 28, with a £1,000 first prize.
RAINBOWS AND BROWNIES - Cwmaman Rainbows are recruiting new members; girls aged 5 to 7, come along to Glanaman Community Centre on Thursdays(4.45-5.435pm).
Cwmaman Brownies are also looking for new members; girls aged 7-10 years, come along to Glanaman Guide/Scout Hall, Thursdays from 6 to 7.30pm.
ADULT EDUCATION COURSES - Glanaman Community Centre offers Adult Education courses starting in September, including Family History and Computers for absolute beginners year 2, as well as art classes with local artist Susan Crossman Jones, (ie: Art Absolute Beginners, Mixed Media Art, and Wildlife and Botanical painting. TRIP CANCELLED - Cwmaman Senior Citizens will meet as usual this Thursday at the Community Centre. New members are welcomed.
The trip to Pemberton Chocolate Factory we are sorry to hear has been cancelled; the next trip will be announced next week.

SYMPATHY - Is extended to the family of Mrs Lucy Sheppard of 7, Coronation Road, Garnant who sadly passed away ,peacefully on August 27 at Tegfan Care Home. Lucy was the widow of the late Howard, and was a loving mother of Adrian. The funeral is (Wednesday) September 4, from 12 noon, internment at Bethesda Cemetery, following a service at the Funeral Home of Hywel Davies, Glanaman.
