CARNIVAL SUCCESS - The first carnival in Garnswllt for 17 years was a great success with a wonderful turnout.
The community came out an had a great time. Bill led the parade with a moving rendition of our national anthem on the bagpipes with Andrea on the drum, everyone got into the carnival spirit with some weird and wonderful costumes. Many thanks to Ammanford fire service for bringing their fire engine for the children to inspect. I think it passed the test!
Garnswllt boys Robson and Dan led a spectacular workshop in street dancing.
The fun carried on with many of the village children performing on stage and then disco dancing till 10pm.
A huge thanks to everyone in the village for turning out, dressing up, helping out, baking cakes and burying treasure.
Next years event is already in the planning, let us know your ideas.
Also don't miss a rare event, The Iranian Feast October 31st 2013 in Garnswllt hall, tickets now on sale, for details look on the Welsh Arts Council website.
