PENSIONERS' CHAT - At our meeting on Wednesday, September 4, we received the news of the passing of Mildred Davies last Thursday. She had been a faithful member for many years and chair called for a standing silence as a mark of respect.
We then had a most delightful concert by the very accomplished artiste, Yvonne Williams.
She sang an eclectic range of songs, each of which was warmly applauded and she received a standing ovation at the end.
This week we will be entertained by Mr Edwin Williams and next week, September 18, we will be visited by a member of the Air Ambulance Service.
RAFA - The Royal Air Forces Association Ammanford would like to announce that the annual Battle of Britain Service will be at All Saint's Church on Sunday, September 15 at 10.15am. All associations welcome. Ring 01269 594115 for further details if required.

CHALLENGING PAIN WORKSHOPS - Arthritis Care is holding training workshops covering managing pain, fatigue, stress, negativity, excerise, breathing and relaxation techniques. Run over two consecutive weeks the workshops are free and open to anyone with chronic long term pain. The course takes place at the Indoor Bowls Club, Canolfan Cartref Heol Manor, Ammanford on Monday, September 23 and 30 from 11am to 1.45pm.

JUNIOR INDOOR BOWLS - Coaching sessions will begin on Saturday, September 28 from 9.45am to 11.30am at the stadium, Manor Road, Ammanford. A warm welcome is extended to all from age 8 to 16.
GROWING TOGETHER - The group have got a big night out concert with singers Aled and Jim and John Evans on Friday, October 11 at 7.30pm in Ammanford Pensioners' hall. Tickets are priced at £5 available by phoning Nantlais on 01269 594121 or Alan on 01269 594741.
