TABERNACLE CHAPEL PONTARDAWE: A grand concert at the chapel was held on Saturday, September 14. Two choirs were involved - Cor y Traeth from North Wales and Cor Dathlu from Ystradgynlais.

There were two soloists - Anna Harris (flautist) and Ffion Haf.

The compere was the well known Rev Kevin Johns.

All proceeds were for the organ restoration fund.

An appreciative audience was present.

PONTY SENIORS - Last weekend saw the members enjoy their monthly social evening with the ladies preparing the food and doing all the washing up, it was a pleasure seeing them all enjoying themselves and having a good chin wag.

CWMTAWE COMMUNITY SCHOOL - Pupils of the school recently visited the Black Forest region of Germany. They were staying in a youth centre in Triburg, renowned for its host of outdoor activities. They went on the Hasenhorn Coaster, the longest bobsleigh run, visiting the Waterfalls, and the largest cuckoo clock in the world and finished with a trip to the fabulous Europa park, with 100 attractions to enjoy.
