SENIOR CITIZENS - The group attended St Michael's Church for the Harvest Thanksgiving. Canon John Walters officiated and welcomed 42 members to teh service.
Geraldine was the organist, Non read the Welsh lesson and Winnie the English.
Gwyneufryn and Mavine took the collection.
In his address, the Canon told us it is thirty years this week he first arrived in Pontardulais to take over his iministry here. After the service, members returned to the Institute to partake in the Harvest tea prepared by the ladies earlier.
We were given the sad news that Mrs Brenda James had passed away, the funeral next Friday in Llanelli Crematorium. Birthday wishes were conveyed to Olwen Jones who celebrates her 98th birthday last week.
The coach leaves Water Street at 11.15am next Monday for the Haverfordwest trip, pick-up points on the route.
