CWMAMAN United football club organised a charity bike ride on behalf of assault victim and former Cwmaman Utd player Paul Pugh.
The ride took place on September 29 with cyclists starting at the Fishermans in Glanaman to the top of the Sugarloaf and back to the Fishermans, a total of 62 miles.
Eighteen riders took part raising £985 with more sponsors still to be received. All riders are friends of Paul and wanted to show their support by raising money towards his ongoing care.
Those who took on the challenge were: Megan Rees, Eirian Rees, Jeff Matthews, Rob Griff, Jamie Morgan, Steven Davies, Carl James, Rob Jones, Paul Landik, Josh Davies, Brieg Matthews, Carwyn Thomas, Simon Griffiths, Steve and Justin James, Martin, Adrian Thomas and Anna Fry.
The ride took a total of five and a half hours – three hours 53 minutes cycling time, not counting the breaks.
