A good attendance of members listened to an interesting talk by Janet Knott, a district nurse from the Carmarthen/Ferryside area. Janet is a very busy lady, who also works in a voluntary capacity for various organisations.
We were given a brief history of district nursing. The talk ended with a question and answer session in which Janet's dedication for love of her patients was very apparent.
One evening was not long enough to hear her vast knowledge of the nursing service.
Tea was served by Tegwen Williams and Liz Wellicombe and raffle winners were Barbara Dodd, Pat Morgans and Hefina Richards.
Our next meeting is Monday, November 4 at the Reading Room, Llansadwrn when we will be making cards and calendars.
