CHRISTMAS IS COMING IN LLANDOVERY - Plans are afoot for the annual turning on of the Christmas lights. This will take place on Friday, November 29, starting at 5pm for turning on of the lights at 5.30pm. This year will be a Victorian theme.
The mayor and the town council invites you all to this festive event.
There will be mince pies and mulled punch, Rotary Father Christmas, town and school choirs, Christmas stalls and children's rides. Prizes for the school children's poster competition will be presented (posters of the school children's design to be in by October 25 with full names and ages on the back of the poster).
Also on Saturday, November 30 the warden of Llandovery college invites you all to a Victorian Christmas craft fair from 11am in the College library and Concourse.
All those who are interested in having a stall at the turning on of the Christmas lights event please contact Liz McGill on 07585447691.
The large Christmas tree will be sited on its usual place with another at the side of the town hall. Smaller trees for businesses need to be purchased/erected independently.
For businesses in Stone Street, Christmas bunting will be available at the Post Office from mid-November; individual arrangements required to erect.
