Llanelli and District Leagu Bowls Cwmamman 68 Wheatsheaf 57.25 Cwmamman earned their first league victory and their first points of the season against a man-short Wheatsheaf side at Garnant Park on Saturday.
Following a sticky start to the season, Cwm's captain was delighted with his side's efforts and hard work, with the new players bedding in well and showing plenty of promise. Cwm were victorious on two of the four rinks, with their best result seeing skip John Sam Jones' boys lead 15-6 at 15 ends before finally running out winners by nine shots. Fellow skip Byron Davies' quartet were always holding a good lead and ultimately claimed a seven-shot win. Dyfed Lewis' four fought back from ten down at 15 ends to make for a close-run finale.

Cwmamman will hope to keep the good work away at Tyrfran on Saturday while Cwmamman Veterans travel to Tumble Vets tomorrow (Thursday).
