Llanelli and District Bowls Cwmamman 86 Garden Village 54.25 Cwmamman bounced back to winning form with a superb victory over Garden Village.
On a lovely green at Cwmamman Park, beautifully-maintained by the groundstaff and in tip-top condition, Cwm saw all four rinks run out on top to net them a maximum 14 league points.
The visitors arrived two men short unfortunately and their lack of numbers cost them, particularly on Rink Four, where they drew 17-17 but following the required deductions, skip Keith Williams’ boys were able to celebrate a 17-12.75 victory.
Mike Jones’ four led on Rink Six 22-11 at 15 ends and were always in the driving seat while skip Dyfed Lewis’ merry men on Rink Five were also always in command, leading 17-10 before finally running out winners by eight shots.
Cwm skip Byron Davies made a fine late wood to cement his side’s rink win after they had led 14-10 at 15 ends.
Rink scores (Cwmamman names first): Rink Two: Norman Raeburn, Tom Jones, John Sam Jones, Byron Davies (skip) 20; R. Thomas, A. Jones, W. Davies, Lyn Anderson (skip) 14.
