Cwm Wanderers of the Neath and District Football League embarked on a new chapter in the history of the club on Friday.
After a long wait, the club has finally taken overall control of its new pitch at Parc Afon Twrch, Lower Cwmtwrch.
All the outstanding work has now been completed on the facility and delighted club members received official confirmation of the transfer on Friday.
The official handover means that the ground will be ready for the start of the 2013/14 season.
On Saturday, all Cwm’s teams, from junior level through to the seniors enjoyed a run-out on the pitch during a day of total football.
The club followed up with a celebration family fun and barbecue day on Sunday.
This Saturday will see a re-union event take place at the clubhouse commencing at 6.30pm, when all past and present players will be welcomed to witness the official opening of the new pitch by two former players of the club, former Welsh rugby international and British Lions manager Clive Rowlands OBE and former Welsh international and current Scarlets boss Anthony Buchanan.
