Ynysmeudwy Athletic 4 Park Travellers 3
The Athletic kicked off their Premier League campaign with an excellent home win over Park Travellers.
The hosts took an early lead from James West before the Travellers equalised.
But Ynys were not to be ouotdone and West ensured they took a 2-1 advantage into the half-time interval.
The Athletic went further ahead after the break through Richard Medwin, but the visitors reduced the arrears and then levelled before a cracking strike from Ryan Rouse made to make it 4-3 to Athletic.
Newcomer Huw Beynon claimed the Man of the Match award for an outstanding performance at the back.
Athletic host Giants Grave on Saturday (KO 2.30pm) - players meet at 12.45pm.
Atheltic Reserves visit Ystradgynlais (KO 2.30pm) – players meet at 12.45pm.
