Glynneath 6 Bryn Rovers 3
Following the previous week’s good performance, Bryn looked to be heading for another win as they led Glynneath 3-1 away from home following goals from Tom Hurley, Pete Windsor and Phil Eady.
However nobody would have expected Glyn, trailing 3-2 at the interval, to come back with a 6-3 victory.
The hosts came out the stronger after the break and two quick goals on the counter gave them the lead.
Eady missed a penalty that would have levelled, but it was not to be and the hosts extended their lead to put the game beyond shellshocked Bryn.
Bryn Rovers 4 Resolven 2
Bryn raced to an early lead thanks to a superb ball by player/coach Mark James which released the prolific Phil Eady who made no mistake in front of goal.
It was soon 2-0 to the hosts as Pete Windsor went on a majestic solo run which culminated in a fine goal.
The game really should have been put beyond Resolven's grasp, but the hosts struggled to convert their dominance into goals, allowing the visitors to convert two efforts and level.
A Nick Lacey header gave Bryn a slender lead before an absolute screamer from Eady put the game beyond Resolven’s reach and gave Bryn victory and ensure the side’s first points of the season.
