Let’s get ready to rumble!
Towy ABC is to host its first show of the new season with a big-hitting fight night which is set to include three mouth-watering championship bouts.
Highlight of the night looks set to be the return clash between Towy ABC’s Spencer Thomas and Phillip Evans of Prizefighter ABC, Carmarthen.
The pair met just a fortnight ago in Carmarthen where the home-town boy just shaded the decision, but since then Thomas has stepped up his training programme and is desperate to have the last laugh in what is already being billed as a grudge match showdown.
In addition, the two other championship bouts will see Liam Seward of Premier ABC take on Tom Morris of Cardigan while Neath and Melyn ABC’s Mathew Lewis faces Danny Mitchell of Merlins Bridge ABC.
Meanwhile, in clash of the red dragons, Towy’s Welsh champion Jake Anthony faces another national champ in the shape of Sammy Lee of Gwent.
Also on the night’s bill, Towy ABC’s Ammanford hitman Phil Jones will take on Prizefighter’s Jamie Davies while Robert Douglas (Towy) will go toe-to-toe with Luke Sheppard of Maerdy BC. The explosive Jay McAndrew will also be in action.
The night also marks the first foray into the ring of two newcomers as Towy’s hugely promising 11-year-old Liam Robinson takes on Josh Bees (Maerdy).
Another debutant is Jess Hulse , Towy ABC's first female fighter, will make her first ring appearance with a bout against Welsh champion Kyle Mayes.
The event is set to take place at the Aman Centre, Ammanford, on Friday, October 11.
Dinner show tickets cost £25 and pay on the door standing tickets cost £10. Dinner will start at 7.30pm and the boouts are due to commence at 8.30pm.
