Chris Waters, Mark Walters and Paul Garritty gave Penygroes RFC an aggregate 4-3 win at Upper Tumble Blues in the Llanelli Snooker League First Division with Nick Walters, Mark Hughes and Alan Samson replying for the hosts.
Matchroom A were in top form on their visit to Cross Hands B with a 6-1 victory (Paul Thomas 64 break, Matthew Humphries 46). Only Alex Dickie won for the hosts.
Elsewhere, Jamie Tudor (27 break, 35 clearance), Gwyn Williams, Anthony Lewis and Paul Doughton (29), gave Pont Cons A a 5-2 win over New Lodge A.
Dylan Jones, Dar Sigsworth, Liam McGhee and Kieran Peregrine helped Llandybie RFC to a 4-3 win at Matchroom B, who nicked the aggregate, mainly due to Jamie Clarke’s stunning 95 break.
Legion Whites posted a 4-3 success against Snooker World A. Alan Jones, Simon Bowen and Dafydd Lewis won for the Ammanford men.
Morfa were 5-2 winners against Llanesco B, while Llandybie Social A won 4-3 at Pontardulais Workmens’ thanks to Karl Evans, Roger Morgan and Huw Morgan. Steve Dunn, Duane Griffiths and Matthew Jones won for Bont.
In Division Two, Mike Davies made a fine 62 break for Gorseinon Workmens in the Brighton Road side’s 5-2 win against Garnant Club, whose winning duo were Keith Williams and Rhys Fisher.
Llanelli Cons B sealed a 5-2 win against Bryn while wins from Wyn Llewelyn, Nigel Jones and Alun Rees gave CGMD a 4-3 win at Reading Room Reds. Meanwhile Reading Room Blues earned a 5-2 success at New Lodge B Carway A won 4-3 at Llanesco A.
In Division Three, Matthew Davies, C Jones and Raymond Davies gave Tycroes RFC B an aggregate 4-3 win against Ponthenri Social, who hit back through Robert Regola, Mark Regola and Kev Lewis.
Elsewhere, Martin Pereira, Corey Gleaves and Shane Thomas edged a 4-3 win for Snooker World B against Cross Hands C. Gary Joshua, Jeff Howells and Jimmy Thomas replied.
Carway B saw off Great Mountain Workmens’ 5-2 with only Byron Williams and Craig Rees on form for the Tumble cuemen.
In the big Bont derby, Pont Cons B earned the bragging rights with a 4-3 win against Pont Cons C, thanks to Lee O’Neill, Dai Porter and Alan Hiddlestone. Ben Roberts, Julian Williams and Tom Carey won for the stablemates .
Geraint Rees, Andrew Wood, Alan Thomas and Dennis Williams were on song for Llandybie Social B in a 5-2 win against Llandeilo Hall, whose winning pair were Tim Walters and Eric Stevens.
Sion Guard prevented the whitewash as Loughor’s only winner in the 6-1 loss at Calsonic Rivals.
