Carmarthen Mini League
Saron U10s made their fortnightly trip to Johnstown with a far healthier squad than they had previously.
Game One saw Saron take on Kidwelly A with a dominant display from their midfield of Steffan, Harrison, Ethan who each bagged a goal, and frontman Iestyn Ryan who netted a hat-trick.
Saron’s defence of Joseph and Rhys kept Kidwelly`s efforts at bay leaving keeper Iestyn with little to do.
Game Two saw Saron take on Teigrod Teilo with Rhys and Joseph again dominant in defence with new-boy Mason Mckenzie again untroubled in goal.
Ethan and Tallian each found the net to ensure Saron cruised to a 2-0 victory.
Saron took on Tumble in Game Three and again came out on top, running home 5-0 winners thanks to strikes from Steffan (two), Iestyn Richards (Two) and Ethan.
Carmarthen Stars B pushed Saron far closer in Game Four.
Saron moved the ball well and created a number of chances with Iestyn Ryna going close on a number of occasions before Ethan netted the winner with his fourth of the day.
In the final game of the day – against Johnstown, Saron rang the changes positionally.
The decision almost back-fired but a good save from defender-turned-keeper Rhys kept the scores level.
The visitors found it difficult to break down the hosts and although Mason, Iestyn Richards and Steffan all went close, the game ended scoreless.
In five games, Saron scored 11 and conceded nil.
