Haverfordwest 17 Tumble 41 Asda National League Division 3 West Tumble from the outset showed intent to run with ball in hand and, with a solid platform in the scrum being given by props Kenny Jones and captain Alan King, scrum half Nick Bailey released a potent back line.
Once again Hefin Dumbrill provided a masterclass in linesout jumping and fellow second row Jeremy Goddard also proved a handful.
Minutes in, Cerith Humphries stretched his legs and ran in from halfway for the opening score.
Humphries produced a polished display at outside half and kept his forwards happy with some astute kicks and breaks.
After good work by Richard Rees, fellow wing Gareth Jones shipped the ball to centre Jeremy Davies who gave the scoring pass to his old workhorse centre James Plimmer.
After 20 minutes, Tumble were again able to exploit turnover ball in their own 22.
No. 8 Rhodri Jones was immense and play was taken upfield by Brettle and the alert Jeremy Davies looped to give the scoring pass this time to winger Richard Rees.
His try was again converted by Hewitt who also added a penalty on the half hour following a penalty for stamping.
Immediately from the restart, Rhodri Jones regathered and with the backs seeing spaces, Hewitt came into the line supported by Humphries who ghosted past defenders, and he turned provider for Jeremy Davies to score an unconverted try.
The Magpies produced more of the same in the second half.
Hooker James Jones was a livewire in the loose and his pinpoint throwing enabled Dumbrill and Goddard to provide useful possession.
Humphries kicked deep to the visitors 22 and, with Dumbrill winning the lineout with consummate ease, Humphries gliding through a non existent gap to score a mesmeric try which Hewitt converted.
After some home pressure two late tries gave a semblance of respectability to the score before Nick Bailey crossed in the corner.
