Elsewhere, Mark Morgan and Rob James (36 break) were on top for Garnant B, beaten 5-2 by Legion Whites, whereas Adam Griffiths was Pontarddulais workmens' only win in a 6-1 drubbing against Llanesco B (Richard Rees 55 break). Electric A lost 5-2 to Morfa, while Andrew Morgan (33 break), Paul Doughton (47, 32 breaks), Gwyn Williams and Steve Doughton earned Pontarddulais cons A a fine 5-2 win against Matchroom B.

A Lewis and Adrian Phillips won for Cross Hands B, beaten 5-2 at Matchroom A, whilst Anthony Krysa, Dar Sigsworth and L Magee won for Snooker World A, beaten 4-3 by Bryn B (Jamie Tudor 60 break).

In division 2, Lee Burder, Gwyn Rees and Dai Clifford won for New Lodge A, beaten 4-3 at Llanesco A, whereas Maurice Bakewell, Ian Tinnuche, C Rees, Joe Evans, Alan Samson and T Rees swept Upper Tumble Blues to a thumping 7-0 victory over Electric B. Frank Ellis' superb 70 clearance break helped leaders Gorseinon A earn a narrow 4-3 win at nearby New Lodge B, whilst Tafarn y Felin lost 5-2 to Cons A.

Garnant A won four frames, via Stuart Davies, Paul Davies, Keith Williams and Jason Edwards, but still managed to lose the aggregate in a 4-3 victory against Rileys.

Bryn A beat Libs 5-2, while Jonathan Stockwell, Jonathan Davies and Nigel Pugh were on song for Great Mountain A, Tumble, edged out 4-3 at Carway B.

In the third division, R Jones and B Daniels were among Penygroes RFC B's framewinners as they handed out a 7-0 hammering to Llandybie Social B. Elsewhere, M Jones, M Donald, S Warlow, C Rees and J Wilcox gave Loughor a convincing 6-1 win at Gorseinon B, and Adam Challis and Nathan Davies struck for Llandeilo hall, beaten 5-2 by Burry Port Reading Room Reds. Llandybie RFC were in winning mode, beaten White Lion 5-2, with Brian Wright, Jamie Gimlett, M Howells and Clive Evans all winning.

Hugh Williams, Dai Davies, Ken Thomas and Alan Hiddlestone gave Pontarddulais cons B a surprise 5-2 victory at Legion Reds.

Joe Morgan and John Powell were Garnant C's winning duo in a 5-2 loss at Llanelli cons B, while Nick Longar, Sean Wilson and Anthony Thomas gave Cross Hands hotel a narrow 4-3 win at Betws soccer B; for the latter, Neil Pearson, Anthony Rees and C Matthews won.

CGMD, Glanaman were excellent 7-0 winners on their trip to Great Mountain B, courtesy of frame-wins by Alun Rees, John Sparkes, Paul Sparkes, Mike Llewelyn, Matthew Thomas and John Bowen.
