Vardre began the better, and forced Cwm back on the defensive early on; from a lineout, it went loose, and was spun wide and a neat inside pass from their centre set Vardre on their way.
Cwmgors hit back well and pressed in the next ten minutes, and from a good second phase ball, a penalty from short range saw Phil Thomas take a quick tap, and his quick thinking caught Vardre out, as he beat about six bemused defenders to dart in for the try which Richard Gregg converted.
Vardre persisted, and gained further reward with a try before good play, and a quick heel put Cwmgors on the attack, and a strong Geraint Evans run, and good support from the excellent Carl Carter at centre created space out wide, and centre Lee Howells jinked in from the touchline to barge his way over for the try.
Cwm continued to try and play good rugby but came up against a streetwise Vardre defence.
Turnover ball late on cost the home side dearly in the latter stages, and Vardre created the overlap, and the extra man allowed their centre in for a final try.
Cwmgors will be hoping to have all the troops back and fit for this Saturday when they face Amman Utd at Parc y Werin, please note kick off is at 2pm.
