The performance at Carmarthen Park in October by the Blue and Blacks was one of their most impressive of the season and the home support were hoping for more of the same after a poor start to the New Year.
It was no surprise that pressure eventually saw Cwmllynfell concede a penalty which Mark Jones kick after ten minutes.
Cwm then began to gain parity in the set pieces and a Carmarthen offence saw Peter Thomas kick a penalty to bring the scores level.
However the incessant pressure told with a try from a driving lineout, converted by Mark Jones and an unconverted try from New Zealand flanker Chris McKwick from a similar effort gave Carmarthen a deserved 15-3 interval lead.
Quins full back Anthony Rees ran back a Cwm kick for another converted try after half time.
Cwmllynfell to their credit fought back and with local boy Steffan Rees showing some lovely touches at fly half they scored a lovely try from prolific try scoring winger Andrew Luther which Peter Thomas converted.
