Cwmllynfell overcame Bonymaen in the Tovali Cup semi-final at Ystradgynlais.
With Cwm having beaten Bony twice in Division One West this season and also in last season's Tovali Cup Final, the Swansea Valley side confirmed their supremacy over champions-elect Bonymaen on a wet dismal evening.
Despite the conditions, both sides strived to the give ball air at every opportunity, but defences reigned supreme in the opening quarter.
Cwmllynfell missed three penalties and Bonymaen one before fly-half Paul Warlow opened the Swansea side's account with a neat penalty on the half hour.
He doubled Bonymaen's lead on the stroke of half-time to give them a 6-0 interval lead.
With Mike Lewis's order to control the ball more in the tackle area ringing in their ears and some astute substitutions, Cwm were much more purposeful in the second period.
It was no surprise when centre Paul Davies crossed for an unconverted try after concerted pressure on the Bony line.
Cwm moved into the lead on the hour when promising pivot Steffan Rees broke blind to put flying wing Andrew Luther in for another converted try.
Centre Paul Davies took over the kicking duties to stroke over a fine penalty.
But then Davies and Bony second row Chris Jenkins were dismissed for exchanging punches, while Cwm replacement at fly-half, Paul Davies, was sin-binned to give Bonymaen a semblance of hope.
However, all they could muster was another Warlow penalty leaving the holders to march on to the final.
