LLANDYBIE Tennis Club men's first team entertained Swansea Tennis Club at home on Saturday and won the match by five events to four.
First pairing of Gareth Davies and Rhodri James won three events while the second pairing of Matthew Nicholas and Craig Armstrong won two events.
Third pairing Anthony Davies and Emyr Nicholas lost their events.
The match was level at four events a piece with the second pairings to play and Matthew and Craig won the match by six games to four games, and six games to two games to clinch victory for Llandybie.
The ladies team travelled to Bridgend and lost the match by five events to four events, the set count was eight each.
The Llandybie pairings were Helen Morris and Chloe Alpine who won one event; Daphne Jones and Kerry Williams who won one event; and Hazel Davies and Rachel Davies who won two events.
The men's second team travelled to the Glamorgan Health and Racquet Club, the league's strongest team and lost the match by nine events to nil.
Pairings for Llandybie seconds were Jonathan Thomas and Dai Nicholas; Robert Smith and Iwan Nicholas; and Grant Millard and Matthew Meredith.
Weekend matches were supported by G.W Beynon and Son. Next weekend the ladies team are home to Rhondda tennis club, the men's first team are away to Haverfordwest tennis club and the men's second team away to Swansea tennis club.
